No reflections(Mental Ray).

Hey everyone. I've been having loads of trouble with this scene in Maya 2013 x64. I have this ground scenery set up, and I had placed a ball in the center of everything for testing purposes. Well the ball is 100% reflective, but it isn't actually reflecting anything.

Also, at 80% transparency nothing can be seen through it.
I've tried researching but I'm getting nothing that has to do with my problem.

Here is a screen of my Maya. With transparency at %80, fully reflective.

This is with transparency off, fully reflective.

Some help would be greatly appreciated with this.

Of course it would so happen that once the thread came up I solved it. The scenery was imported through .obj, and Maya automatically disables reflections and refractions. Sorry for taking up space. Please close/remove this thread.

It's okay to leave up solutions such as this for posterity, people searching for solutions later, I would think! A common issue too.
