renderman grey renders

ok so i just downloaded and installed the new RS4 but I'm not really sure why everytime I try to render an image, it comes out to a default grey? If anyone has any clue on how I can make this work properly It would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone also know of any online examples of how to apply Normal Maps or Vector Displacment maps to a model in Slim, or can I just create it the same way in Hypershade, then just render that?

Not sure why your getting grey renders. It should translate your hypershade network automatically for you.

As for normal maps and vector displacement, there is some information on Pixar's forums on setting it up in Slim. I'm not sure if they've included anything (shading nodes) in this new release to ease the process. Also if you have access to the Escape Courseware there is some good tutorials in there to get you up and running.
