Hello,

I canīt get the shader to work either. Iīve typed in more or less the same as "mckchrn1234" did. Can anyone that got it to work write exactly what you have in your maya.env file? And the steps for installing it maybe.. Or maybe itīs something else, but any sort of help would be good. I think this plugin will be perfect for a project im working on.

cheers

A little update, I added a 2011 64bit compile for Windows.

Luke046: What error do you get? have you problems with the deformer or the shader? Did you try installing the C++ 2008 Redistributable Package? If you followed the installation instructions it should work.

A little update: The deformer is now multithreaded for Maya 2009 and above. Re-download from first post if interested.

Cheers, Nico

Thanks so much for the awesome tool! I managed to install the deformer part, but for some reason shader doesn't seem to work. It actually crashes my maya2011 (64bit). Deformer works great though.
Does anyone else have similar problem?

At first Thnx allot fro this great plug-in

But I have some questions.

Im using it with a ship in it that is sailing. Now how do i get the ripples/ wave that come from the ship. And how do i get fom comming up on the front of the ship?

I know i have to do something with displacement maps or am I wrong?

and could you do some small explanation when you know the awnser? not like yes with disp maps... cause i dont realy know how it works.

Some how i need to find out that the ocean knows where the collision is and start the waves from there. (in a V shape.)

i hope someone can help me with this.

Regards

re

Im not sure you can do this in the way you imagine. This is after all a texture solution not simulation so you will need some pre-generated texture you can put on top. Maybe Im wrong. Dindnt have so much time to play and analyse it, but maybe you can use maya ocean to generate ripple mask and use that. Or comp something in.
