maya chain rig issue?

Hi all,

I've decided to make a library of maya models so that if I want to make say an interior scene sometime in the future i all ready have pre-made models. So I've already done two models and for my third model I've decided to do a bath room sink which is looking good.

However I decided that because the plug can either be in the hole or on top of the sink then the chain would need to flow with it etc. So instead of rearranging the chain manually I though i'd give dynamics a go and do a rig so that it does it all for me. I found a tutorial on youtube which does this and its going ok. The problem is the bit of the chain that attaches to the plug doesn't stay with the plug when i move it so it like floats in mid air. How to I make sure it doesn't do this? (you may have to right click and copy the image url and paste it in the address bar to see the image below)

surface constrain the lid to the chain, as long as the chain has good UVs the lid will follow the last piece of the chain (or a parent null).
