Help with dynamic spline IK with ends anchored

Hi everyone,

I've made a dynamic spline IK rig using nHair in Maya 2013. I have the "Point lock" attribute for my follicle set to base, and a nConstraint on the other end of my chain attached to the last CV of the curve. This works pretty well, but one end (not the base) doesn't rotate about the joint, but a short distance away.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the IK creation. After I have made the curve (EP curve also tried CV) dynamic, then create the spline IK with the dynamic curve, the last joint in my chain moves a little. Later on once I have created the constraint for the final CV, the end of the dynamic IK rotates about the CV instead of the joint. But that would be fine if my joint chain didn't change after the IK creation.

I also tried creating the nConstraint first then the IK with the same result. Without the IK the dynamics works as expected.

I hope this picture can help you understand what I mean I did a poor job explaining. Tried to find some attribute I could change to make the curve "relax" so that it wouldn't move the lat joint when I create the IK, but no luck.

Any suggestions or other methods are appreciated.
