Maya Hair Collisions Having No effect
I've been pulling my hair out (ahem) with this problem for ages and feel like I'm missing a fundamental ...
I've got a dynamic CV curve that's connected to a joint chain with an IK spline handle. The joint chain is bound to a simple cylinder and it's deforming dynamically when animated with the CV curve.
- Making the curve collide with any geometry has no effect at all.
- Collide constraints also have no effect.
I've checked that collide is on for the hair system. I've also set the collide width offset to -1000. The end goal is to add a dynamic tie to my character rig.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.

Since your are using nHair, you need to select your cube, then go to> nDynamics > nMesh > Create Passive Collider. Also change your collide Width Offset to 1.
Collisions will work. : )
