Customizing the standard Biped?

A couple of questions for a complete newbie when it comes to MB:

I've got a character with a pony tail that is rigged to a chain of joints. How do I add an IK chain (I guess that's what it's called) to those joints, to easily control the ponytail?

It seems that the standard MB biped only provides IK controls for fingers. How do I add FK controls for them?

You can reparent the ik fingers and make a better finger rig, you can rotate the ik fingers to FK rotate the fingers or you can just make the FK finger markers visible and easier to select, by default they aren't.
