Unhappy About Facial expression

Hi Guys,
I was totally fresh on Motion builder,do you guys have
any idea to do facial expression by using LW endomorph
or morpmixer control from LW to Motion Builder
to characterize face expression!
Any tutorial to referring on these?

Take a look at the Knowledge Desk at Kaydara. The first tutorial in the list, under MB 5.1, is on facial animation. If you name your endomorphs in LW the same as the generic channels in MB, they'll load up automatically when you characterize; if not, you'll have to load them up under "User Channels."

Hope that helps.

Peace.

How can i get the files from the following link into motionbuilder V5.5 ?
http://mocap.cs.cmu.edu/search.php?maincat=1&subcat=1

My PC connects it automatically to Quicktime, when i import them into MB, i get an error-message that they are corrupted. I tried to install the QT-Plugin, so that I maybe could see them in the QT-Player, but I donīt know where to place the *-dmg file

Any help would be great,

Hi

Well I'm a 2d animator going 3d for a change. MB 6 sold me on the idea.

I'm looking for a tutorial. I have my model in Maya 6. I would now like to put a skeleton on my model so the MB likes it.

Please help me

Thanks so much for you time! Great Forum eh?

Great links.

Ive opened a .c3d file in MotionBuilder is there any way i can convert this to a bone system to skin a mesh with?

Im trying to use a piece of mo-cap to drive the animation of a biped wal-cycle, and cxannot find too much help on the tutorials

Thanks

First you have to create an actor. Then make a marker set for the actor to refer to the mocap data. Next load a character with bones, and characterize it. Then use the actor to control the input for the character. Then you must plot the animation to your character and export it. This is the general workflow that I have found to work for me. Most of this info is in the Help menu. There is more involved when importing and exporting from other 3d software. You must name the bones (Joints) right. I hope this helps, but this is a big subject. What 3d software are you working with?

Tutorial: From Biped to MotionBuilder

Hi all I just finished writing my first tutorial so don't expect it to be perfect lol but ohwell

I tried to find on the internet a good tutorial about how going from max's biped into motionbuilder and being able to animate my character in motionbuilder but I didn't find anything so I've been trying a lot of things and finally found something that worked and so I decided to write my own little tutorial for other people who would be willing to do this

it is a pdf and can be found here : http://3d-caveman.com/English/Forum...opic.php?p=2727

if you have suggestions or questions feel free to ask
Hope this helps some people

greets

ps: hope to be able to propose a videotutorial someday soon

mocap fcurve clean up

I was wondering if anyone out there knew of some good tutorials on cleaning up mocap data inside motion builder using the fcurves. I've got a very small booklet on noise elmination, swapping, and occultion but it's not very clear and i've been trying to play around with it for the last few days and haven't been getting very far with it. I've put all of the markers into a rigid body setup to make clean up easier from what the book said but other than that it's been extremely slow going. I've been looking on line for any kind of tutorial to do it but haven't found anything. If anyone has any tutorials or can give me some advise on how to this cleaning that would be great.
