Emitter Spread
I am a Maya user switching to Houdini and I started using POPs. I am working on a sim where it involves particles spraying out of a House. In Maya when of the particle emitter’s parameters was “spread” that worked like the cone angle for a spotlight. In Houdini there is no such option from what I went through, so I’m wondering what are some things I can do get that cone-like, spread/spray”effect.

Place an emitter from the particle shelf then under the attributes tab, set velocity high in the direction you want to go then use the Variance in the two other axes to set the cone. A bit of variance in the velocity direction will work as well.
