3ds max + Vray render elements + Photohop
Hi folks !
I finally understood the concept of linear workflow and how to make it right. I'd like to use it in comp (that's the purpose to linear worflow) with photoshop now/
My goal is to get the EXACT SAME RESULT as my beauty pass.
This comp works :
Vray specular (add)
Vray selfillum (add)
Vray refraction (add)
Vray reflection (add)
This one doesn't :
VRaySelfIllumination – Linear Dodge (Add)
VRaySpecular – Linear Dodge (Add)
VRayReflection – Linear Dodge (Add)
VRayRefraction – Linear Dodge (Add)
Diffuse + Lighting (Group) – Linear Dodge (Add)
VRayRawLighting – Multiply
VRayDiffuseFilter Copy – Normal
Diffuse + GI (Group) – Normal
VRayRawGlobalIllumination – Multiply
VRayDiffuseFilter – Normal
I do my passes in Vray render element with the linear workflow method and I save them in 1.0 gamma. I also set up Photoshop with a linear color profile and I ad a gamma correction 2.2 just before saving.
Any idea? This drives me nut...
