Material ID in nuke

Hi there guys! I'm moving from fusion to nuke and now I have an issue, how can isolate by material ID in Nuke. I'm rendering from vray with the materialID pass.

there are some gizmos (= macros) over at nukepedia for that, basic thing is just a key

but even in fusion MaterialID aint the best solution for masking something. MaterialID wont get correct AA and thereby you will end up with some edge issues

You could use a multimatte element instead which gives you an option of up to three material or object IDs and splits them into RGB channels and in nuke use one of them as your mask.

If you need more IDs just add more multimatte elements. Can do refractions and reflections too.
