upscaling precomp in after effect cs6

hi !

I have to render at 1920*1080 a composition that s been originally targeted to 1024*576. everything is tuned in it , in multi layers, to work to this resolution

a lotta of material in it are actually 1920*1080 and were then scaled down (53,5% to reach the required 1024*576)

problem is , if I just change the comp setting from 1024*576 to 1920*1080 and scale up the master comp to fit the sized up output frame, I loose resolution, although the material used have this extra resolution somewhere in it (in the precomp there s no intermediary pre render, it s still just 1080p layers that are downscaled)
but it seems that the precomps "freeze" the precomp output resolution before the output upscale is applied

Not sure if i m very clear but, is there a way to tell to aftereffect to not clamp the resolution of a material in a precomp?

put otherwise:

a precomp of 1080*scaledown@ 53,5% & rendered out to [scaleup 188%] should be pristine original 1080p

instead of loosing resolution in the process

how comes that precomp scales intrication doesnt just compute the intricated scales figures and then doesnt just apply only once the resulting factor to the root material, instead of doing all the intermediary scales, at the cost of resolution? is there a workaround?

after some researches I found a way, added here if some use to anyone:

change the main comp resolution to 1080 (or anything you need)

scale up every precomp in it to fit the new frame

tick "condensate transform" on every layer that needs it to restore max resolution possible
(scale is a transform, condensating it do the trick i was looking for: instead of precomping the scale down inside the precomp before scaling it back up to fit the frame size (loss of rez),

it factors the scaledown inside the precomp and the scaleup of the precomplayer itself and apply it the original material.
Since scaling down by 53,5% and then scaling up to 188% sums up to no scaling at all,
I dont loose resolution at all on materials which resolution is same as output frame size

of course it also fix all problems with position , anchor and so on
