Auto Unwrapping multiple objects selected

Hi, I have a problem that I'm trying to find a quick way out of.

I have hundreds of dynamic objects that have a material on their sides and another on the their front and back.

The front and back faces are fine, but the sides of all the chunks have bad UVs. I can select all faces using the side material in the hypershade, but I cant unwrap them at once into their own texture space, it just kind of blobs them all into one triangle in the corner of the UV editor...

I want to be able to select all objects using a material and unwrap them one by one (per object) into a 0-1 space per object. Is this possible?

Perhaps there is a way to select faces on an object that use a material & not the default way of select all the faces in the whole scene that have a material. From there perhaps I could loop through my objects??
