Quick way to tesselate Alias wire file in Maya

Hello,
Maya offers the possibility to import wire files from Alias directly.
The NURBS surfaces come in nicely but the tessellation does not line up.
Is there a easy and fast way to change the tessellation of all surfaces so that it is 'fine' and lines up without producing gaps?
Maybe a script?
Thank you
