Recommend A Book?

Can anyone recommend a book for modeling and animation in Maya, that is set up like a classroom?

I was looking at Learning Autodesk Maya 2009: Modeling and Animation Handbook but was worried it might be too out of date. (latest version out)

Thanks in advance!

p.s. I know tutorials are the way to go and mostly free on the internet just would like a hard reference and something I can read when not by my PC

For a general overview of Maya (more than just modeling and animation, but well-written), I've found Eric Keller's books to be very good. His latest covers Maya 2012

There are also these for free, some of which Eric did.
