UV Editor Problem image doesnt work
Hi! after trying everything i decided to ask for help online.
i want to export my model to vizartist. i baked the textures as a TIFF.
i exported the model with default lambertshader as fbx.
the model in vizartist doesnt have uvs and textures looks messy once i put on it.
so I opened my exported fbx again with maya, to check if the export was ok, and in effect it didnt retain the uvs.
so my goal is to export the modell with UVS ON it.
i read that i have to have a texture on the mesh , in order to retain the uvs and export the mesh with them. so i am trying to put a texture on it, and my uv editor doesnt show the image! after trying a while I clicked on "uv texture editor baking", and the image was there, but is somehow not linked to my mesh. you can notice on screenshot_1 that my uvs are on another side, and the mesh is still showing the texture.
if i disable"uv texture editor baking", the image doesst show. image display is still check. see screenshot_2
-use another file on my mesh, it still doesnt work
-i made a cube and put my texture on it, it works there, so the file is not the problem., there fore the problem is on the mesh.
-copy of the mesh, delete history, clean up mesh.
