Problem with some Mental Ray Materials

Hello, I am very much new to Maya, just switched from Blender. I am facing a problem which I am not able to solve. The problem is some of the Mental Ray materials are not working for me. For instance I can successfully use Mia Car Shader but when I try to apply dgs material for my objects, I get error while rendering and the objects with dgs shader doesn't appear in rendered images. When I click on Mia Car Shader it instantly appears in Material Tab in Hypershader but dgs shader does not appear in Materials Tab. can you try render with open exr file format? or go to widow - rendering editors - mental ray - shader manager. all the shaders are loaded? or try to delete maya prefs

Many of the older legacy shaders won't show in the viewport, especially old mental ray shaders. Unless there's a specific reason though to use the DGS material, you should be using mia_material_x for almost all of your mental ray shaders. The car shader and a few others are obvious exceptions.
