How many guys are still using hotkey 8 ?

Some users ask us to remove the " 8 " hotkey. It is annoying.

It is easy to remove it, and maybe assign some other command for that.

The question is, are there some guys use that?

I think its ok to let us open the Paint FX with a menu instead of the 8 hotkey. Its useful, but deserves a place in the backseat

Because remapping is hard!

I don't remember the last time I had any interaction with the 8 keybind past hitting it by mistake on a fresh install and being reminded to bind it to something useful.

As it happens, I have just hit it by accident two minutes ago. I agree with antweiler, I think it is okay for us to open Paint FX from the menu.

Ah yes thats right - must be the default. I've mapped 1-7 with custom display scripts.

I only hit it by accident on occasion, and I don't use PFX so I forget how to exit, so its quite annoying. Need to remap...
