2014 ubershader not working?

Hi, I've been having trouble using the DX11 shaders in 2014.

I can load and unload the plugin from the plugin manager, I can create a shader in the hypershade, but its swatch is garbled colours and there aren't any of the attributes in the attribute editor.

I've updated my graphics card drivers to the latest - its a Geforce GTX 560 ti. I cant find anyone else having these issues from a search so is there something obvious I'm meant to be doing?

Thanks for any help!

Did you change your viewport from OpenGl to Dx11 in the preferences?
