Attracting surrounding curves to curve inside a clump?

Hi,

How would you guys approach such case - I have a clump of curves which are deforming but their roots stay in one place. Their deformation is cached, but they spread too much and I'd like to "attract" them to a curve inside the clump. I cant change curve animation it needs to stay cahced. I need to figure out a way to use some deformer to attract the curves to one curve inside the clum to make it spread less. Perfect would be sort of a membrane node but it doesn't work on curves.

Any ideas?

M.
