Maya asks to save a saved scene?

Annoyance. Tired of them so I'm going to track them down 1 by 1.

Work on file. Save it. Don't touch anything in scene. Go to file-new. Maya asks to save. Why?

I have noticed a few times it didn't do this, so I guess its a setting somewhere?

Is there an 'LOL' button I've pressed in my Maya that causes me to continuously have issues?

Think of it as a safeguard towards not losing work accidentally, especially if you've had like ten beers.

It's super annoying indeed...I wish I can turn this off :(

i noticed that when i save a scene with my timeline on something other than 1 is resets back to 1, i think this counts as a change worthy of saving so you get asked twice?

According to the maya 2014 release notes, this is fixed:

"Prompt for 'Save' upon Maya exit, even if file is already saved."

Perhaps this goes for new scene, open or whatever you could think of, that would involve closing the current scene.
Maybe someone with maya 2014 at hand/beta tester, can tell you more specific about this fix.

in your script editor if you echo all commands there is probably a script job running or something that is happening that causes another change which is why the scene think it's been modified. because it has.
