Uv Smoothing doesn't display in the texture Editor

Hello everyone. I've been having quite a headache today with this weird issue. It wasn't happening yesterday and i have no idea of why did it happen.

The thing is that the UV Texture Editor doesn't display the uv's smoothed.

This is how it should be with my smooth mesh preview in 1

But then when i take it to 3 it doesn't smooth the uvs too, it just stays as the 1 preview

I have tried the Extra Controls in the ShapeNode and it doesn't smooth the uvs with any of the posible options there. What can it be? how can i solve this?

3 mode is not actually smoothing, its just simulating what it would look life if you added 2 subdivision levels. Poly's cant bend and therefore wont be displayed as smooth in the UV editor. The only way is to add actual divisions to your geometry and the uv's will reflect that.

But i am quite sure that the uv coodinates should smooth when i display the smooth mesh preview. I just don't know why they remain angular/not smooth.

Yes Oglu, i am using Maya 2011. Is it some trouble in this version concretely?. I actually have Maya 2014 and it doesn't happen on that version.

It may be the reason... im not used to work on this version. But i wanted to do some part of the process here becasue of some plugins i have. I guess i will have to change a bit the process :P.
Thanks Oglu for your help.
