Falling Tree... Does anyone know how to?

Hey.. i have a forest scene that i built and i wonder how to make the tree falls with realism.. maybe using maya ncloth.. or dynamics.. i'm not sure.. Does any one know how to make it look real?.. i need to make fall around 5/6 trees..

you can see a sample of the scene here. Forest Scene

trees are Poly created from Paint Effects.. without history, since these are instances.. however, i can replace the hero trees with Paint Effects with history...

thanks in advance guys,

Yes, I have a solution but Ive yet to check this myself although it is a proven solution by someone I know.

Have a look at this video... http://www.soup-dev.com/videos/bound_proxyGeoForSim.mov

It uses SOuPs bound node to create a low res 3D mesh around the tree object without history. The tree then is wrap deformed around the bound and the bound mesh is then sim'd using nCloth I assume.

Looks really effective and pretty fast. I will try it out tonight.
