Unhappy NURBS Extrude

Hello,

simple question: how to extrude nurbs plane like I would extrude normal polygone plane?

I have this nurbs obj and I want to to have it e.g. 9 units thick...

thank you :/

you cant really extrude like in polys but

two methods which come to mind:

1. edit nurbs/ duplicate surface then build lofts between the resulting edges

2. model it in polys how you want it then convert to subd then convert to nurbs

You can create the 'inner' surface by offsetting one from the original and specifying the gap distance.

>Edit NURBS>Offset Surfaces (option box, specify offset amount).

From there I'd loft each of the 4 sides individually to create the side surfaces.
