Maya paint weight add influence but not removing

you can see in this gif file that i create
1st i add influence with one opacity then i set the opacity to zero and use brush but it didn't remove.
any help

Hmmm...setting the opacity to 0 will not remove an influence.
Opacity is a multiplyer for the Value slider. Replacing with opacity of 0 and value of 1 will do nothing.
If you set the "Value" to 0 with Opacity at 1 (or any non-zero value) you should be able to successfully replace the influence value with any replace stroke.
Unless I totally misunderstood your question.
Also, make sure you have another influence unlocked, because if you reduce the weights on the only influence on a vert to 0 without another influence unlocked to be able to take over the weigting then chances are things like this will happen.

thanks animatedfox. it is value not the opacity (what was i thinking)
