Understanding why the bridge tool acted like this...
Trying to figure this out, and I appreciated any assistance!
Here's the breakdown (with pictures to speed things up and make it clearer):
I was pulling my hair out over why certain edges would bridge fine on my mesh, and a particular pair of edges would not. Here's the screenshots.
Eventually, a lightbulb went off, and I figured I'd try one last thing: delete a specific face. Sure enough, this worked.
Once that face was deleted, those same two edges bridged without a problem.
So here's the question, and where I would be indebted to anybody who can help me:
Why did that face cause the bridge tool to fail (and bonus points: why did it not just give me an error, but instead threw my viewport up to the top of my mesh)?
I would love to better understand how these things work. Any explanation would be greatly appreciated. Is it something with normals, I suppose? Even if it was, I don't quite understand how that affects the bridge operation for those two edges.
