converting 2d, UV mapped texture to 3d space?
So... I usually have to convert/bake 3d textures down to 2d space because well other render engines often do not have a direct 1 to 1 interpretation of the 2d/3d procedurals.
Today I was thinking that I have a 2d tile'able texture mapped on the uv of an object and it repeats x' odd times. I want to turn that into a projection map, just like creating a file node with the projection locator. Is there a way to convert the 2d filenode texture map into a file texture map with a projection node that will size it self in 3d space based on the UV repeat number I am using? Thanks. __________________
