Ubercam - can you render it yet?

Hi

I'm having problems rendering from the ubercam. I'd really like just to build an edit in the sequencer, and just export it as one camera by hitting render. This only seems possible if the action occurs in real time. However it would be amazingly handy if i could reuse shots from different angles, etc. Every time i do this it seems to crash the render once it reaches the repeat shot.

I was really hoping these issues would have been sorted by Maya 2013.

I'm not worried about motion blur, etc.

Does anyone have a viable workaround for working in the camera sequencer (2013) and exporting the whole thing in one go, without having to render out hundreds of shots individually and piece them back together?

please tell me there's a way!!

thanks
