Question Maya version + Project Pinocchio?

Project Pinocchio
What version of Maya started using: Animation> Animation Editor> Human IK?

What version of Maya is needed to have a working / retargeting animation pipline using Project Pinocchio? (similar to Mecanim in Unity4)

Im quite sure HIK started with Maya 2012, and was improved for 2013. So if you want to use that, you need 2012, or Motionbuilder.
Otherwise you can use any Maya version you want, since (i guess) the data is converted with the fbx format.
edit: ok, I saw this video ( ) seems you get your data as maya file. When you cant or dont want to use HIK, you will need to rig the characters, or use one of the many autorigger scripts
