Paint effects brush within a paint effect brush?

Is it possible to have a paint effects brush within a paint effects brush? If so, how would it be done?

I was thinking of using the SOup pfxToArray node to instance paint effects stroke along a main paint effects stroke.

You can convert a PFX stroke to NURBS curves and assign other PFX strokes to that. You can build some pretty radical compounds in this manner. If you have construction history on, it'll even propagate the built-in PFX dynamics.
Just make sure you don't change any of the attributes that modify the parent PFX stroke or the assignments are lost.

Do you think that the sub pfx strokes could also be latticed with this?
