Use Image Ratio Doesn't Work - UV Texture Editor

I'm using a texture sized 512 x 768 (2:3)

And when I toggle on the "Use Image Ratio" option, the UV space is still 1:1.

Anyone have ideas how I can force it to use the 2:3 ratio.
maya api commands or anything?

You can try making changes to the Repeat UV and the Coverage attributes in the place2dTexture node that the texture file is attached to.
