Circular ramp centre

Hi,

I have a plane with a locator constrained to the surface. I need to create a circular ramp constantly at the position of the locator.

Any ideas?

You can try this:

In the hypershade, on the left 'create' tab, go to 2D Textures. Locate the ramp node, right-click it and select 'create as projection'.

This creates the ramp, a place3DTexture node and a projection node.

Connect the projection.outColor to your shader.

Select the place3dTexture node and rotate it and scale it until you are happy with the placement of the ramp.

Now parent the place3dTexture node to your locator.

(Note: if you don't want the ramp to repeat, go to the projection node, under 'effects' deselect 'wrap')
