Smile HS Junior, Need Suggestions!!

Hi! im a junior and this year i decided to take a computer animation class to learn Maya. I am currently signed up for a contest where i must do a Maya demo in front of a judge

Some of the guide lines:
  • I'm going to be given a laptop and can do a live demo in whatever in Maya 2011 (model, texture, animate, etc)
  • 5-7 minutes to do this (There will be a 3-4 minute set up time)
  • Related to nurbs, cvs, ncloth, or anything in that spectrum really
  • I'll can pull up fully rendered scenes to show steps/end results that id be unable to create because of time restraints.
So my issue is finding something specific to create. I have very limited experience, the things i can think of atm would be lofting (create some sort of submarine or boat) revolve cv curves to make a table and glass (realistic dining table enviorment). Anyways you guys get the idea, I want something interesting. Difficulty of the project won't matter, i have enough initiate and motivation to find out and learn. The presentation part of it is the majority of what is judged but i can do well enough with practice, I just need some suggestions. Thanks in advance!!
