Always use a certain camera for playback.

Not sure if I should be posting this here on in the Animation forum. By default, when you playback or scrub the timeline, Maya uses the panel/viewport/camera/whatever that you last interacted with, and only updates the others once playback/scrubbing has stopped. Is there any way that I can override this so that a certain view is always the one that is used? My window setup is usually 3 panels, such that outliner is top left, shot camera is bottom left, and working/perspective camera is the right side. As I am constantly working through the perspective camera, this is the camera that is almost always used for playback by default, and I would rather the shot camera be used by default, without having to first activate it. Its not a huge inconvenience but its one of those things that'd save me some time in the long run.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Under Preferences -> Settings -> Time Slider, in the Playback options you'll find 'Update View'. Set it to 'all' and all the viewpanes will update when you playback.

Note that this could slow down performance if you're working on a heavy rig.
