trouble with some meshes...

Hi all....
we've recently received in some character models (rigged and animated) from our sister company overseas (china).
The files aren't heavy, the animated characters move fine on everyone's computer in the office....except mine....on mine, they lag incredibly. We supposedly have the same systems but I'm getting ready to double check that. They even lag in wireframe.
Is there something in my setup that I can do to optimize?
My system:
Asus i7 64bit Geforce GT620 16g ram.
Thanks,
Joe

Sometimes a reboot can do wonders with performance.
Just in case you haven't already tried that.

update drivers

Have you tried updating your drivers for your video card?

You can find your drivers here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
