Hi actually i am trying to animate a Water surface with the Ocean shader.
I have trimmed Poly Surface and assigned a Ocean Shader to it.
After some rendering tests it looks good for me. But when i render an animation in Batchmode,
the Watersurface ( Texture ) seems to be staticm, it dont move. Is it possible to simulate a Watertexture with the ocean shader ?
Ther is a yellow marked Attribute called Time and i thought this is the Attribute to animate the Water but nothing happens.
The scene is build in Maya 2013 x64 and is rendered wih a physical sun and sky

The ocean shader should have a connection from the node time1 by default. The time attribute on the ocean shader will thus show the current frame value when you scrub the time slider. The attribute "waveSpeed" determines how fast the waves move. Perhaps because of your various settings and scale you need a higher wavespeed setting, but the waves should move by default without needing any keyframes.
If you want to preview the motion of the ocean do "fluid effects:ocean:add preview plane". You can increase the resolution of preview planes( these do not render) and and move and scale them to look at different regions of the ocean.
