I need help to solve UV flip and normal reverse problems
Hello,
I modeled a character with few armor pieces. I uv mapped left side. After that I duplicated left side to right side. When I looked at the model on uv map window, everything looked fine, no flipped uv, but the opposite side(duplicated) actual model texture looked all flipped. If I flip the duplicated side UV, they are all red in UV map window, but actual model texture looked fine. I reversed normals and flipped the right side of model, then it became black, which means I can't see texture. Please help me to solve the problems. I am using maya 2011. Thank you. |

Be sure to "Unlock Normals" on your model after reversing or altering the normals. If your model turns black, Unlock 'em!
Hopefully this will help your texturing issues. __________________

Hopefully this will help your texturing issues. Thank you very much for the reply. I did unlock normals, but nothing has changed. However, if I combine left and right side, the uv is correct? |
