Fur change tips

Hi!
What parameter in Fur is responsible for change of tip? What to receive the such.
Length map it is impossible.

If I understand you correctly... and I can't.... I presume you want to get rid of the hash line of the top of the geometry?

Depending on the material type you've chosen to use, ie. maya blinn or mia_mat, you apply a black and white texture into transparency (or with mia_material it's called a cut-out map, I think).

I recommend you use hair (now nHair) instead of fur. Filling the space with follicles will be more work, but you will get better control over the shape.

but even with the hair, I do not see how can make a brush ...
