Dear Shawn,

Are there any news on this?
Should we expect a fix near soon ?

Unhappy

So Shawn,

Is anyone from Autodesk looking into it to provide a fix ?
This feature is stated in autodesk's official maya 2013 page and demos as well

- Bullet Physics in http://usa.autodesk.com/maya/features/
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeWisUaz3bE

And as an advertised and actually demoed feature, it should have been working out of the box, shouldn't it or this video is totally intended misleading information of the promised product ?

Should we expect any fix to it in the NEAR future ??

Bumped for agreement!

Advertising ie DMM as a full feature and then releasing only a limited version is one quite outraging thing already but, it's really amazing how AD advertises something as a working feature, even demonstrates it and then leaves the users to possible endless confusion and frustration trying to figure out why they cant replicate what someone else is showing so clearly in a demo.

It's working for the person making the demo, so I don't really understand what the problem is on the AD side?!?! If the guy is using a custom script in an official demo, exactly that script is supposed to be included in the package, otherwise the advertising could be considered plain fraud, I'd say.

It really makes you wonder what else is not working at all.

Cheers!

So Shawn,

Should we expect a light at the end of this tunnel ?

We're looking into exactly what's going on here. Sorry for the delay in communication, I'm literally swamped with a ton of things these days and been heads down on projects.

Shawn,

Would it have been possible to give us at least a timeframe for this promised fix?

I hope those projects are NOT programming new features.

Excuse me THExDuke,

If what official Autodesk provided US -their own customers, as a BAD JOKE easter egg, to try on our own -and after WAY MUCH of frustration- just to figure out in the end, that this promised -not to mentioned advertised and promoted- feature, was NOT working at all, I wouldn't consider these posts as what you've discribed as "trolling"...

Autodesk actually TROLLED US, at the very first place and we are still waiting on their feedback...

They should have at least feel obligated, to THEIR own CUSTOMERS to immediate provide at LEAST a solution to this issue, caused by THEIR OWN _REPETITIVE_ misleading information!!
(I just wonder what their beta testers did from 2012 to 2013.5 release that STILL that promised feature isn't working AT ALL!!)

Still waiting/ hoping for a valuable answer from Shawn at least...

I know mate, was no offense against you. I support your honest intention to get clear information about this. It was just the way you asked that made me smile a bit since it IS obviously a big NO GO and you barely get feedback on this. It seems that this time you did hit the nerve and Im glad that ATDSK did not remove the video yet. In previous versions they simply deleted all evidence on features which were not in the package as they have promised and promoted...e.g. the 700 Material presets.

I've pinged all the associated parties involved in the Bullet plug-in and have been told they are investigating the issue. When I know more I'll pass the info I receive along.

I appreciate your willing to provide us with a solution at least!

Me -and I am sure others too- are looking forward to receiving your feedback on this.
I hope soon...
