Maya 2013 ext viewport 2.0 problem

Hi everyone,
I just installed maya 2013 extension and I'm having some serious issues with viewport 2.0. I'm not talking about directx 11 version, just plain viewport 2.0.

If I try to do something not related to shading, like moving vertices on a poly object or even deleting history, maya gets stuck and one thread of the system goes and stay at 100% usage.

I'm on windows 7 sp1 64 bit, graphic driver are up to date. I have an nvidia quadro 1700, a bit old, but it's working flawlessly in maya 2013 sp1.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue? Did you find some solutions/workaround?

try this - it fixed my viewport 2 madness

ogs -reset;

let us know what happens

Had the same problem with a laptop Nvidia GT130M: never resolved unless I have upgraded the system to something more recent.

I just upgraded to an officially supported graphic card, an nvidia quadro 600. Nothing has changed, maya in viewport 2.0, both opengl and directx 11, keeps getting stuck when i try to move poly components or deleting history...
Drivers are up to date, version 295.73.
Does anybody else is having the same issue?
I can't work with this release...damn

Not sure if the driver is the problem, but 295.73 isn't the latest. It was the latest back in February 2012. From the NVIDIA site, for Quadro 600:

I just installed the latest driver version. Still no luck.
I don't think anymore it is graphic card issue...

I just tested maya 2013 extension on MacOsX snow leopard and i came across the same issue in viewport 2.0. If I try to model anything maya gets stuck.

Now I'm 100% sure it is a maya bug. It is not something related to my systems.
Maybe it is something related to non-English version of operating system (I'm on italian version)?

Is there anybody with a non-english os that can move components or delete hystory in maya 2013 extension viewport 2.0?

I know it's gravedigging bur I have the same problem.
Maya 2013.5 with Nvidia GTX 660, Win8
I only tried DX11, will try OpenGL today

Whenever I create a need object or try to edit existing one, everything just freezes.

If this is what I think it is you only have 2 CPU ores in your machine

Try running

threadCount -n 4

To make Maya think it has more cores

At the time I was having the problem on an english version of the OS, but was a 2 core cpu.
