boolean shader in mental ray

i can't find this because i don't recall what it was called but while i was looking at documentation for a different shader there was an example of using a shader in mental ray to subtract geometry from another mesh at render time... just like the render feature in renderman. anybody know what it is?

the puppet shaders (shaders_p/ megaTK) had a mental ray shader for this.

thanks. i'll use that but it's gonna drive me nuts not knowing if what i saw was even real

yeah cgs shader equivalent (renderman) in puppet shader

new version here -- read through the posts on that page, the last page mentions a bug with CSG.

occlusion doesn't fully work on the inside cut from when i tested it not long ago, just fyi
