Can someone tell me if containers have been fixed in the meantime?
How about 3ds max 2012? Has somebody tested them already?

I tested them and i have some trouble with it..

I would like to have a container without “save as .maxc” feature!

This is usefull for instance a bunch of objects and modify only one instance (add/remove/change objects in these container) and all instanced would be changed, too.

All objects should be instanced and not stored as copies for optimized memory usage.

I created for this.

EDIT: IMHO the biggest problem with container is, that there is no real instance of container objects. IMHO all objects which can be instance would be copies. e.g.:
1. Create a bunch of objects
2. put it into a container
3. instance the container often (or create new containers and use the same .maxc file.)
4. RAM will be filled more and more

Can someone confirm this?
