Any way to import/Xref including textures ?

Hi . When I use XRef from another max file into my scene, it is drawing the objects without texture (grey) so I have to create the texture myself...Though, when I open the other max file I can see the textures very well. Any solutions for me to save some time and import the textures also ?
Thank you in advance

Are you xreffing a scene or an object?

I have had no troubles with xreffed objects. The materials come in with the object.

Maybe it is just that the materials are not set to display the texture in the viewport?

Hi Well I have some objects but are as max files instead of 3ds.. I have a tree and it has green leaves when I open it in a separate 3ds max instance. But when I xref it in my actual scene it shows grey texture and in render it appears a bit blue. However When I go to materials and press G to get material, it shows several textures with xref description but they are grey textures all.. none of them is green :(

Edit: I forgot to tell but I use Vray renderer

Hmmm. Did you try merging the materials into the scene when creating the xref?

Without merging mine come in as an xref material, but the materials look right.

Maybe a scene asset issue? Check the asset browser?? Perhaps maps can't be found?

Are your UVs coming in? Do they perhaps need a helper object (like a camera for a camera map)?

Can you merge the item into your scene successfully?? (normal merge, not xref first and then merge, which does seem to be a little buggy.)
