I use 3Ds Max 2011 64bit on my PC Windows 7 64bit

and i just trying to solve by searching on google, and i have follow the step from autodesk website forum. they said that i have to delete "adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data_backup.001 and adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data" and when i re-open the program said " The software license check out failed 3ds max 2011 error 40"

weird really weird.. okay i just want to uninstall and i can't uninstall it properly so i just remove all the folder and try to unisntall it manually.

Pretty sure the student versions are only good for a year or so. (Or at least they used to be.) Maybe it expired?

umm i don't think so if it had expired , because i registered it on this year so it's unbelievable .

anyway i just delete it manually and clean my registry , and i install the 2013 version.
well yeah thanks.

You may have removed the folders, but there are keys in the registry that need to be cleaned up. They are telling the installer that there is max installed on this system. You can try to clean the registry with CCleaner or something.

AFAIK EDU licenses last 4 years, not one.
