Math Rules in 3ds max

hey guys
how we can use math rules in 3ds max to form shapes like that ?

http://www.behance.net/gallery/Math...ractors/7618879

thats done in cinema 4d By plugin called Attractors (from jurgen meier)

I try simple things writing equations in wire parameters but it still not the right way

also i saw guys convert sound track to 3D object .....

so any ideas about that

I think I have seen chaos attractors rendered in Krakatoa, probably a proof of concept by Bobo (?). Maybe ask in the plugins section / Krakatoa thread, someone might know more.

This is fairly easy to reproduce using MAXScript and a SplineShape object.
For example, take the Lorenz Attractor described here:
http://www.3d-meier.de/tut5/Seite2.html

(
--parameters:
a = 10
b = 28
c = 8/3.0
--initial position
x = 1
y = 1
z = 1
--create a new spline shape, add a spline to it
s = splineShape()
addNewSpline s
t = 0.01 --this is the step
for n = 1 to 10000 do --perform 10K iterations
(
	x = x + (a * (y - x)) * t
	y = y + (x * (b - z) - y) * t
	z = z + (x * y - c * z) * t
	--create a smooth knot in the spline shape at the new coords:
	addKnot s 1 #smooth #curve [x,y,z]
)
updateShape s --update the shape
s.steps = 2 --set the shape step to 2
)

After that, you can either enable the Renderable option of the spline to give it a visible cross-section, or drop a Sweep modifier on top and select any cross-section you want.

The following screenshot shows my results using a T-shape in the Sweep modifier:

And here is the Roessler Attractor:

http://www.3d-meier.de/tut5/Seite6.html

(
a = 0.2
b = 0.2
c = 5.7
x = 1
y = 1
z = 1
s = splineShape()
addNewSpline s
t = 0.1
for n = 1 to 10000 do
(
	x = x + (-(y + z)) * t
	y = y + (x + a * y) * t
	z = z + (b + z * (x-c)) * t
	theKnot = addKnot s 1 #smooth #curve [x,y,z]
)
updateShape s
s.steps = 2
)

bobo thank you so much
you are the best

thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you

and excuse me about another question related to the same subject

how can i use sound track in 3ds max and from its sequece i transform it to 3d object
i mean how to graphically represent any sound file to a 3d roof
to convert tunes to formation with many many strategies

Max has an Audio controller that can be used to control animation of objects.
There are a lot of things that could be done with it, check it out.
