Random UV shell color display possible in max?

Was curious if anyone knew of a plugin or script for max, which would give you a random color display on your model for each UV shell, when you are unwrapping, or maybe even without needing an unwrap modifier active, pretty much like in 3d coat.

Don't think you can in the viewport. There's a couple of plugins and scripts that will render the UV layout to different colours. Texporter and polyunwrapper come to mind.

Have a look on www.scriptspot.com

But that's not really what you're after I don't think.

Yeah poly unwrapper looks like it has plenty of tools and I have noticed in some scripts you can render to separate colors, haven't been able to find anything to automatically assign colors in the viewport unfortunately. I figured this would be easy to do, but maybe not. I wouldn't even know where to start with making a script for that. Maybe you could do something xview.
