Speckles in perspective viewport

Hi guys I apologies if this has been posted before but im finding it extremely annoying whenever Im working in 3ds max that when I move the meshes they have black speckles that come up on screen on top of the mesh then slowly fade away when the mesh is untouched.

is it a graphics card limitation or have I hit some setting unintentionally?

Turn off Ambient Occlusion in the viewport configuration or switch from Realistic to Shaded view.
