Selective Normals During DWG Import

I'm learning 2013 3ds Max Design for the sake of bringing some of our stage/scenic renders in house. Every render starts with a 2d CAD drawing. My first one went as well as I could have asked, but this one....The Google/Search force is not with me.

Here, I've extruded the wall drawing, and I'm trying to bridge above the doors. I select some polygons and realize that they are not all facing the same way. After some search, I see this is called normals, and I find a modifier for it. Despite selecting "Unify" and/or "Flip," my normals are doing as they please.

TLDR: Is there a way to select and flip only specific polys? Is there a "best practice" for importing a dwg that could prevent this in the future?
