Render to texture sphere

Hi, I'm trying to work out the correct settings for baking an AO map onto a low poly sphere. The closest I got was diffusemap1, where the maps were automatically flattened so I couldnt use it. Diffuse map4 is giving me shadow effects I don't want.

Is there a way to bake the AO of a sphere so I get a nice even 360 degree AO map?
