Selection problem in 3DSmax

Hi there,

So i show up to work today and my copy of 3DS max is only allowing me to select things (Faces / Edges) at intersecting points. I can't select a single edge or face. I can only select them a the intersecting points which end up selecting all the connecting edges / faces. It wasn't causing this issue on Friday when i left so it has me perplexed a little. Is there a selection modify button somewhere i might have hot key'd on by mistake?

Yes, there's a Select By Vertex option in the editable poly/mesh command panel. Just under the selection sub object mode buttons. Maybe there's a hotkey to activate it that you hit by mistake.

Although it's not global so should only be active on the current object.

Hey robinb,

That was it. Thanks for the help. Where it's located i'm guessing it was just a button miss when jumping back and forth from edge to vertex. Thanks again. Greatly appreciated.
